Ying YuYing Yu

Ying is interested in in developing mathematical and computational tools that help to explore human high-level cognitive process, such as analogy and reasoning. She in also interested in the metric properties of human visual space and the visual perception of 3D shape. Ying joined the lab in 2014.

EricYatskowitzEric Yatskowitz

Eric is a neuroscience student with a background in mathematics. He is interested in neural-network modeling, high-level vision, machine learning, and their philosophical implications. Eric joined the lab in 2014.

Kayla HigginbothamKayla Higginbotham

Kayla is a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing degrees in Psychology and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. She’s been involved with research at Ohio State since 2012 and has been assisting in this lab since 2013.

Post-doctoral Researchers

Tadamasa Sawada, Ph.D.

Tada is interested in visual perception and cognition, including 3D perception, perceptual learning, object recognition and perceptual organization. His work combines psychophysical experiments, computational and mathematical modeling. He joined the lab in 2013 and left in 2014 for a faculty job at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia.

Nicholas M. Van Horn, Ph.D.

Nick joined the lab in 2008 and graduated in 2014, whereupon he joined the faculty in the Department of Psychology at Capital University. The following archive materials are available:

Taylor R. Hayes, Ph.D.
